Extraction Unit: The Backbone of Production Operations at Esfahan Iron Ore Company
Esfahan Iron Ore Company began its operations in 2006 in the Sangān Placer area of Khaf. Today, the company leverages experienced experts, trained personnel, and advanced mining machinery to efficiently utilize the region’s placer reserves, playing a significant role in job creation and regional economic growth.
The production process, from exploration to the creation of marketable graded products, is carried out in units that are interconnected like links in a chain, ensuring smooth coordination and increased productivity. Currently, Esfahan Iron Ore Company owns 147 pieces of proprietary machinery, which play a crucial role in extraction and production operations.


Extraction Unit Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Extraction Unit are as follows:

Supervision and control of machinery related to iron ore extraction and auxiliary equipment, as well as overseeing the operations of the company’s proprietary machinery.

Execution of extraction activities using the company’s proprietary machinery.

Evaluation of extraction contractors.

Approval and reporting of the monthly performance of machinery related to the Extraction Unit to the mine’s finance department.

Implementation of mine boundaries and areas released by natural resources, ensuring compliance with the protected areas (agricultural and residential) during extraction operations.

Conducting necessary monitoring and measurements required by the Quality Management System, analyzing extracted data, and providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.

Leveling and rehabilitation of fully-extracted lands.

Distribution of fuel for the company and all pre-processing contractors.

Installation and commissioning of the company’s proprietary separators.

Construction and maintenance of all mine transport roads and factory roads.
