Comprehensive Process of Extraction to High-Purity Iron Ore Concentrate Production at Sepahan Iron Ore Mines Company
Sepahan Iron Ore Mines Company, using 90 pre-processing units at the extraction site, carefully separates magnetite placer iron ore from the raw ore. In this process, the mineral is separated and transferred to the next processing stage.
The company operates five large processing workshops where the pre-processed iron ore is sized and then upgraded using dry magnetic drums. At this stage, the iron ore is sized to less than 10 millimeters, and its grade reaches above 55%.
In the next stage, the processed iron ore is transported to the company’s concentrate production lines, which consist of four concentrate phases. Here, the ore is ground to below 90 microns to achieve a higher degree of liberation, and after several stages of wet magnetic separation, the final concentrate grade exceeds 66%. The final product is then ready for loading and delivery to customers.
It is worth mentioning that one of the greatest advantages of the concentrate produced by this company is the absence of harmful elements such as sulfur and phosphorus.
